Worship Services in Lent and Easter

Worship Services in Lent and Easter

During Lent and into Easter, our worship has traced a steady movement from quiet compromise to unsettling resurrection. We began by facing temptation that hides behind reason, then stepped into the uncertainty of God’s call beyond comfort. From there, we encountered our deeper thirsts and the ways we misread what is before us. As the weeks unfolded, death itself was reframed as temporary, only for Palm Sunday to expose our misplaced expectations of power. By Easter, even the truth of resurrection met disbelief. Across these Sundays, faith has shifted from control and certainty toward trust, disruption, and a willingness to be changed.

The accompanying stories have walked this same road in ordinary settings, where small decisions carry larger consequences. They have followed characters who avoid, hesitate, misjudge, and try to contain what they cannot control. Whether it was a choice that slowly unravelled, a need that surfaced in unexpected places, or an attempt to bury a mistake that refused to stay hidden, each story revealed how truth has a way of returning. Through humour, tension, and quiet reversals, these stories have shown that transformation rarely arrives cleanly. Instead, it unsettles, resurfaces, and invites us to see, listen, and live differently.
